Carl Jay Kaufman
December 29, 1944 - January 10, 2022
Carl was a devoted husband to Ellie for over 31 years. Their mutual love of socializing and being around their many friends made them a good match. They enjoyed going to parties, dancing, dinner, and being around their many friends. Carl knew how to enjoy life. He was born and raised in Baltimore, moved to Pennsylvania for 15 years, but then decided he wanted to spend the rest of his life in sunny Florida. He tried to convince his many friends to come join him and enjoy life. He never regretted that decision. He enjoyed golf, tennis, fishing, and playing cards and shooting pool with his friends. If there was a party, he was there. He also loved hosting and entertaining at their home. Carl also loved his family. He made sure his children and stepchildren knew he was very proud of them and that he loved them. He is survived by his two sons, Carl and Chris, stepdaughters Dana, Dawn, Debbie and stepson, Justin, and their spouses. He is predeceased by his stepson Joe. He is also survived by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also loved every dog they had over the years, most recently Tippy, who was his constant companion on their daily walks. He will be greatly missed. Life Well Lived A life well lived is a precious gift, of hope and strength and grace, from someone who has made our world a brighter, better place. It's filled with moments, sweet and sad with smiles and sometimes tears, with friendships formed and good times shared, and laughter through the years. A life well lived is a legacy, of joy and pride and pleasure, a living, lasting memory our grateful heart's will treasure
