Vincent John Acceturo Sr.

September 26, 1941 - December 7, 2021

Vincent John Acceturo, Sr., 80, died on Dec. 7th, 2021 to join his wife in heaven on their 58th wedding anniversary. He was born on Sept 26th, 1941 in Newark, NJ, the son of Romelo John Acceturo. Following graduation, Vince served in the National Guard Reserves. Vince married his sweetheart, Mary Ann O’Neill on Dec 7, 1963, and they raised 3 children together. Vince went by the names: Vincent, Vin, Vinny, Dad, Grandpa and Pop. He loved every title and proudly fulfilled each role with his huge heart. He was a friend to everyone. He was smart, he was funny, and he knew something about everything. There are not enough words to describe him. We will sorely miss him but know we shall see him again. In addition to his father, Vince was predeceased by his son Vincent J. Acceturo, Jr. and his wife Mary Ann whom he dearly missed. Surviving are his daughters Doreen McDonnell and her husband Michael; Jennifer Ann Scalia and her husband Anthony; his sister-in-law Lenore Ceraso, seven grandchildren Kayla (Ryan), Gabrielle (David), Jacob (Madison), Jonathan, Madelyn, Angiolina, and Mary Ann; and six great grandchildren Keegan, Kinley, Emmett, Jaxon, Leila, and Eloise; and many family and friends. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11am on Dec. 22, 2021 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 1050 Celebration Ave, Celebration, FL. Interment will follow at Community Presbyterian Church, Celebration, FL.
